Rodney Muhumuza

Based in Uganda, Rodney Muhumuza has been a correspondent in East Africa for the Associated Press since 2012. He has reported from such countries as Ghana, where he covered West Africa’s Ebola crisis in 2014, and South Africa, where he covered labor unrest between 2012 and 2013.
He was previously a senior reporter with Uganda’s Daily Monitor newspaper as well as an international reporting fellow at The Kansas City Star. His work frequently explores socio-cultural trends showing a continent in flux. He lives in Kampala with his wife and their three sons.
