Rod Schoonover

Rod Schoonover is founder and principal of Ecological Futures Group, which seeks to understand and articulate the societal and security implications of global ecological disruption and climate change, and an adjunct professor in Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Dr. Schoonover served in the U.S. intelligence community for a decade as the Director of Environment and Natural Resources at the National Intelligence Council and as a senior analyst in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research at the U.S. Department of State. Before joining government, he was a full professor of chemistry and biochemistry at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
