Risa Chubinsky

As Project Manager, Engagement & Education, Risa Chubinsky focuses on establishing the operational pathways that enhance the impact and audience engagement of the Pulitzer Center’s reporting initiatives. She spent the majority of her more than 10 years of experience in international development at Internews, where she supported programs across Europe and Eurasia that built the capacity of independent media, amplified local reporting, increased media literacy, and promoted access to information and freedom of the press. Risa holds a BA from Columbia University and an MA from Georgetown University, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Prior to her career in media assistance, Risa worked in book publishing. She believes deeply in the transformative power of a good story.
