Richard Schiff

Richard Schiff is the executive producer for the documentary Public Defender, which follows a lawyer whose clients include January 6 rioters.
Schiff is an award-winning actor, director, and published writer. His awards include an Emmy, two Screen Actors Guild awards, an Ovation Award, and two Backstage Awards for theater work. He is best known for his roles in the TV series The West Wing, The Good Doctor, Ballers, Counterpart, and Manhattan, and dozens of others.
Schiff has also appeared in more than 50 films, including Wakanda Forever, The Lost World Jurassic Park, Clemency, Man of Steel, and Ray.
He founded and was the artistic director of the Manhattan Repertory Theatre in New York City. He is active in politics and social causes and is on the board of The Creative Coalition and Counsel for a Liveable World, along with being an active fundraiser for the ACLU and Public Counsel.
