Rebecca Liss

Rebecca Liss is a contributing producer at Retro Report. Her most recent story, “9/11 Heroes: Surviving the Biggest Attack on U.S. Soil,” was chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences as Webby Award Honoree in the category of Video - News & Politics.

She produced stories for CBS 60 Minutes and 60 Minutes II for more than a decade. She reported from Ground Zero in the hours and days following the 9/11 attack, where she was one of the first broadcast producers to obtain footage from the restricted area. Her 9/11 reporting was featured across all CBS News broadcasts. She also reported from Afghanistan on the heroin trade.

A graduate of U.C. Berkeley, Liss has been published in The New York Times and Slate. Her reporting was included in the “The Best of Slate: A Tenth Anniversary Anthology.”
