Mike Smith is a reporter at The Montana Standard, covering politics and government.
Smith graduated with a journalism degree from the University of Oklahoma. He joined The Associated Press in Oklahoma City in 1990 and spent 18 years with the AP in Indianapolis, mostly as a statehouse correspondent.
He moved to Montana in October 2013 to work for The Montana Standard in Butte.
