Michelle Sokolowski

MANAGER, INDIVIDUAL GIVING

Michelle joined the Pulitzer Center in 2026 to lead Individual Giving efforts. Most recently, she managed outreach and fundraising for Internews and FilmAid. Her prior development experience includes roles at the American Geophysical Union and the Smithsonian Institution. Before her transition to nonprofit advancement, Michelle spent 15 years working in theatrical and arts management in New York City, including roles at Lincoln Center Education, ICM Partners, and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. She also stage managed at various venues.  She holds an MPS from Pratt Institute and a BA from Hunter College.
