Meenal Upreti

Meenal Upreti is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Delhi. She works as a freelance filmmaker, cinematographer, photographer, and editor. She has worked across India, covering short-format stories on gender, child education, health, climate change, water, waste, and forests.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she actively covered ground stories and PSAs on COVID Warriors of India and the Co-WIN portal. She has worked extensively with several organizations, including UNICEF, UNDP, TATA Trusts, WaterAid, Agence Française de Développement, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and World Bank.
She received a photography fellowship from WaterAid India in 2018-19, where she covered water-related issues in the states of Odisha and Delhi, and menstrual hygiene in Madhya Pradesh.
Her photos were exhibited and published by News18 and Hindustan Times.
