Maurice Jones is the vice president of news for WHRO Public Media, and is the former president and publisher of Pilot Media, the parent company of The Virginian-Pilot.
He has also served as deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the Obama administration and secretary of commerce and trade in the administration of Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe.
