Leonardo Cazes

Leonardo Cazes is the executive editor at Aos Fatos, a position he took on in 2021 after joining the organization as head of reporting.
Before that, he worked for 12 years at the newspaper O Globo as a reporter and assistant editor. In 2018, he helped create Fato ou Fake, the fact-checking service of Grupo Globo, where he was one of the editors until 2020. He has also worked in the politics, culture, and education sections.
He holds a master's degree in history from the Universidade Federal Fluminense, with a research focus on the educational policies of the Brazilian military dictatorship.
