Leah Freeman

Leah Freeman is a student at Georgetown University pursuing a Masters in Journalism. She completed her undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Geneseo where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Journalism and Media as well as in Intercultural and Critical Studies. During her undergraduate career, Leah completed research in media studies focusing on Voluntary Totalitarianism and presented her work at the 2014 Eastern Communication Association Conference in Rhode Island as well as the Communication Studies Conference at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Leah has previously interned at Mediacom Communications as well as at PBS: Religion & Ethics Newsweekly. She aspires to work in broadcast journalism and production in the future, reporting on political and international news. During her time with the Pulitzer Center, Leah hopes to gain experience and knowledge publishing underreported international news stories to a wide audience.
