Kristianto Purnomo

Kristianto Purnomo is a senior photographer for Kompas.com. Using his camera, he has captured various important social issues. In one of his most impactful pieces of work, he photographed a group of students in Banten, Indonesia, who had to cross a river using only a steel wire.  The work received a Mochtar Lubis Award, a prestigious journalism honor in Indonesia, as well as triggered a social movement called #JembatanAnakBangsa, which means "bridges for our children." He also has experience in developing digital visual content.
