Kris Anne Bonifacio
PULITZER CENTER ALUM
Kris Anne spent her her spring 2012 quarter at the Pulitzer Center as part of Medill's journalism residency program. Kris Anne is pursuing the newspaper/online track, and she hopes to become a foreign correspondent after graduation.
She is originally from Bethlehem, Pa., but she was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She is fluent in Tagalog, and she is also learning Spanish and Arabic.
At Northwestern, she is very involved with The Daily Northwestern, the school's daily newspaper. She worked on the city desk for two years, where she covered pension reform, redistricting, the 2010 midterm elections and the Chicago mayoral elections. She most recently served as the newspaper's online managing editor for the past two quarters.
Though she misses Chicago, Kris Anne is really excited about spending spring quarter in Washington and learning about international reporting and nonprofit journalism at the Pulitzer Center.
