Kathy Wu

TEACHER FELLOW

Kathy is in her 5th year of teaching Global History in Brooklyn, New York. In her diverse school of recent immigrants from over 30 countries, she is passionate about making education accessible to English language learners, as well as designing curriculum to be thought-provoking, relevant, and creative. She believes that learning is a life-long process, so she dedicates her time to continuing her education with the Academy for Teachers, National Endowment for the Humanities, and books and conversations with peers. Outside of the classroom, Kathy loves to stay active by walking and biking everywhere in the city and skiing on white, wintery mountaintops.
