Justin Thomas Ostensen
Justin Thomas Ostensen is a director and cinematographer with a flare for original and visually stunning projects. Ostensen’s background spans numerous productions, ranging from commercial and broadcast television to narrative film and large format IMAX documentary features. His interest in depicting contemporary social issues in film has led him around the world, from the untouched deserts of Namibia to the last vestiges of sun far above the Arctic Circle.
Ostensen’s films and documentaries have been Official Selections and Award Winners at dozens of film festivals internationally-- his client list includes PBS, The Discovery Channel, ESPN, The History Channel, and Sony Pictures Classics-- spanning topics like modern piracy, endangered animals and habitats, and the distinct cultures and tribes around the planet. Ostensen holds advanced film degrees from UC Berkeley and Chapman University.
