John Morrison graduated in 2014 with a degree in economics and theological ethics from Boston College. After graduation, John moved to Geneva, Switzerland to work for Trafigura, one of the world's largest privately held oil and metals trading companies. He left in mid-2015 to pursue a career in journalism, and over the past year he has freelanced for The Marshall Project and El Tecolote, a bilingual newspaper based in San Francisco. In the future, he hopes to report on social justice issues that lead to and stem from violent conflict, with a specific focus on their relationships to international finance and the international political economy.
