John Chipman

John Chipman is an award-winning journalist, documentary-maker and author. He is currently a documentary-maker with CBC Radio's audio doc unit. Previously, he was a long-time producer with CBC Radio's flagship morning program, The Current.
His most recent book, Death in the Family, was a national bestseller and won the Speaker's Book Award in 2019.
Chipman also produced Life Jolt, a podcast that explored women's experiences in Canada's prisons. He spent a year interviewing inmates at Grand Valley Institution for Women, a federal institution in Kitchener, Ontario.
