Icarus Landaker
W&M REPORTING FELLOW
Icarus Landaker (they/them) is a William & Mary student who is expected to graduate in 2027. They are double majoring in English and environmental science.
In 2022, they were part of a 15-month student advocacy campaign in Virginia Beach that fought districtwide anti-trans policy. In 2024, they gave a TEDx Talk through William & Mary, speaking on their experience with activism. They also wrote about it for W&M’s Draw the Line Comic Contest, winning first prize.
Landaker has a love for poetry, people, and overlooked details in life, which they infuse into their stories.
