Hafiz Malik

Hafiz Malik is a professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has researched automotive cybersecurity, deepfakes, internet-connected security, sensor security, and multimedia forensics.
He is a recipient of the UM-Dearborn 2022 Distinguished Research Award and the College of Engineering and Computer Science 2020 Excellence in Research Award.
Malik has published over 150 articles in leading peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and workshops. He is a founding member and chief operating officer of the Global Foundation for Cyber Studies and Research, a founding member of the Cybersecurity Center for Research, Education, and Outreach at UM-Dearborn, and a member of the leadership circle for the Dearborn Artificial Intelligence Research Center at UM-Dearborn.
