Flávio Ferreira

Flávio Ferreira is an investigative journalist for Folha de S.Paulo, specializing in the coverage of the Brazilian judicial branch. He has covered some of the biggest corruption scandals in Latin America, including Operação Lava Jato (Car Wash Operation), Mensalão, Operação Satiagraha, Operação Castelo de Areia, and the train cartel companies in São Paulo.
He was the coordinator of the collaborative journalism project Investiga Lava Jato, which covers Operação Lava Jato, with a group of 21 journalists from 12 countries, beginning in June 2017.
Ferreira is a two-time winner of Latin America’s best known journalism prize, a two-time awardee of Latin America’s best known investigative journalism honor, and he was awarded four additional prizes for various coverage.
