Don Duncan is a journalist and academic. His print, video, and radio work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the San Francisco Chronicle, The Christian Science Monitor, BBC, NPR, RTÉ (Irish national broadcaster), The Guardian, CBC, and The Irish Times.
He also lectures in journalism, documentary practice, and broadcast storytelling at Queen's University Belfast.
He holds a doctorate from the University of East Anglia, has master's degrees from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, a master's in film directing from INSAS (the Belgian national film school), and a bachelor's in English literature from Trinity College Dublin.
He has previously lived and worked in France, Spain, Hong Kong, and Lebanon.
Duncan reported from Lebanon on a Pulitzer Center grant in January 2008 and from Afghanistan in May 2008.
