Cristian Alarcón

Cristian Alarcón is a writer and journalist who founded the magazine Anfibia and the website Cosecha Roja.
His books include Cuando me muera quiero que me toquen cumbia (When I Die, I Want Them to Play Cumbia) (2003), Si me querés, quereme transa (If You Love Me, Love Me, Baby) (2010), and Un mar de castillos peronistas (A Sea of Peronist Castles) (2013).
He was a visiting professor at the University of Texas in Austin, and the University of Lille in France. He is also a professor at the National University of La Plata in Argentina.
Alarcón awards include the Samuel Chavkin Prize, the Konex Prize, the Perfil Prize for freedom of expression, and he is the winner of the 2022 Alfaguara Novel Prize for El tercer paraíso (The Third Paradise).
