Claudia Ocaranza Abascal is a Mexican investigative and data journalist with 13 years of experience. She specializes in reporting about business and human rights related topics and has coordinated investigative journalistic teams. In 2022, Claudia co-founded the transparency initiative pidala.info. Her stories have appeared on Mexican media and organizations such as PODER, Empower, Excélsior, Expansión and Proceso, as well as in the U.S. based media Univision and El Nuevo Herald. She is part of the 2020 Open Data Sigma Award winning team with “Todos los Contratos” and collaborated with “A dónde va mi pensión special”, winner of the 2022 SIP Award.
