GRANTEE
Chace Beech is a multimedia journalist from Los Angeles. In 2016 she graduated from Kenyon College, where she majored in English. Moving to New York, Chace joined the NBC Page Program where she wore the traditional page uniform – yes, like Kenneth. While at NBC, she worked for MSNBC and "The Today Show." Inspired by the reporters around her, Chace decided to pursue a master's degree in journalism. She graduated this May with an M.S. in multimedia journalism from USC Annenberg and will be working on the COVID-19 team as of May 18. Her areas of interest range from breaking news, to politics, religion, and end-of-life care. She has written for Annenberg Media, Religion News Service, Bon Appetit, AL.com, and The Huffington Post. Chace was a finalist in the regional Society of Professional Journalists award for Television Breaking News Reporting. Additionally, she received Annenberg's Outstanding M.S. in Journalism Top Scholar Award. Chace has been socially distancing at her family's home since mid-March, channeling her anxiety into organizing every book in her house by both color and subject.
