André Ramiro

Originally from Recife, Brazil, André Ramiro has gathered international experience in civil society and academia both in Brazil and Germany. Former fellow at Stanford's Digital Civil Society Lab, Derechos Digitales, Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society, and Weizenbaum Institute, he is also co-founder of the Law and Technology Research Institute of Recife, PhD Candidate at Hamburg University, and member of the Latin American Network of Surveillance, Technology, and Society Studies (Lavits). He has collaborated with several digital rights non-profit think tanks as well as grassroots organizations about institutional security and data protection.
