Amy Schachman
TEACHER FELLOW
Amy is a special education teacher at Chicago Public Schools and teaches English at a neighborhood high school on the west side of the city. In addition to her work in the classroom, Amy has supported students and their families through leadership of her school’s Behavioral Health Team and Social Emotional Learning Committee, serving as a union delegate, and participating in learning communities focused on equity and teaching for social justice. She has an MEd in Special Education, an MA in Social Justice & Community development and a BA in Art History & Human Rights.
