Aminda Marqués González

Aminda (Mindy) Marqués González is President & Publisher and Executive Editor of the Miami Herald Media Company and McClatchy's Florida Regional Editor, which includes Miami Herald, el Nuevo Herald, Bradenton Herald, the Keys digital products and the Tallahassee bureau. A graduate of the University of Florida, Marqués began her career as a Miami Herald intern and rose to become the paper's first Hispanic editor in 2010. Her career has included assignments as a metro reporter, assistant city editor, deputy metro editor, multimedia editor and Sunday/features editor. During her tenure as executive editor, the Miami Herald has won two Pulitzer Prizes and has been a finalist five times. Marqués serves on the Pulitzer Prize board and is past-president of the Florida Society of News Editors. She sits on the Dean's Advisory Board for the College of Communications and Journalism at Florida International University, as well as the Kopenhaver Center for Women in Communication.
