Alejandra Crail

An investigative journalist based in Mexico, Alejandra Crail is a member of the Investigative and Data Journalistic Unit of Mexican newspaper El Universal. She has specialized in covering corruption, human rights, children's issues, and gender.
Crail has collaborated with several Mexican media outlets, including Eme Equis, Gatopardo, and Grupo Expansión.
Her work has been recognized with the Walter Reuter German Journalism Prize (2018 and 2021); the Breach-Valdez Prize for Journalism and Human Rights (2020 and 2024); and the King of Spain International Journalism Award in 2024.
