GRANTEE
Adrija Bose is editor of Decode at BOOM, where she leads investigative reporting on technology, AI, digital harms, misinformation, and how these systems affect people’s lives—especially women and marginalised communities.
Over the past 15 years, she has covered gender, politics, human rights, environment, internet culture, and digital rights in India and the region.
Her work has been recognized with several honors, including three U.N. Laadli Awards for gender-sensitive reporting, the 2019 RedInk Award, and the Polestar Journalism Award. She was also a finalist for the ACJ Investigative Journalism Award for work exposing the sale of child sex abuse videos on social platforms.
Bose has reported for major Indian newsrooms and platforms and now focuses on how digital infrastructure, platform governance, and emerging AI technologies intersect with social inequality and rights.
