Davis Hovey
GRANTEE
Davis Hovey was first drawn to Alaska in 2016 by the opportunity to work for a radio station in a remote, unique place like Nome. More than seven years later he has spent most of his career reporting on climate change and research, fisheries, local government, Alaska Native communities, and so much more. He is currently the news director at KMXT in Kodiak but has also worked in Anchorage and Nome.
Hovey went to Syracuse University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Broadcast Digital Journalism. Go orange!
