Katrina Pyne

Katrina Pyne is an award-winning visual storyteller and freelance journalist.
With experience in science communication, Pyne was previously a video producer, videographer, and editor at the Hakai Institute, where she created content such as documentaries, podcasts, and animations. There, she worked with partners such as the National Film Board, CBC, Ocean Frontier Institute, Ocean School, and more.
Her writing and produced media have appeared in publications, including Hakai Magazine, Canadian Geographic, Explore, The Inertia, Gripped, Fly Fusion, Maclean’s, Halifax Magazine, and Rapid Magazine.
