Reem Almasri
2026 AI ACCOUNTABILITY FELLOW
Reem Almasri is a journalist and a researcher that investigates the invisible networks between AI corporations, big tech, and militaries, and the influence of geopolitics on the sovereignty of internet infrastructures. As a Mozilla Tech and Society Fellow (2020), she designed and taught a course on the political economy of internet infrastructure for journalists in the Middle East and North Africa, as part of the Alternative Academy for Arab Journalism. Reem is the co-founder of Jordan-based magazine, 7iber.com, where she established a dedicated section focused on digital rights and the political economy of the internet in the Arab region.
