Leah Varjacques

Leah Varjacques is a short-documentary filmmaker currently based in Colorado. She started off making independent short docs about environmental justice and immigration.
Over the past decade, she has produced, shot, and edited over 75 digital and television documentaries in staff roles at The Atlantic, The New York Times, and VICE News, where she won an Emmy Award in 2021. She co-produced two feature-length episodes of The New York Times Presents, streaming on Hulu.
A French native, she speaks four languages, which have helped her tell stories from all over the world.
