Jennifer Scherer

Jennifer Scherer is a senior cross-platform reporter and producer for SBS World News, a nightly bulletin on Australia’s national multicultural and multilingual public broadcaster.
With a focus on feature and investigative storytelling, Scherer has reported both domestically and internationally across a variety of topics, from geopolitics to environmental issues.
In 2024, she was awarded the German Grant for Journalism, issued jointly by the German Embassy and the National Press Club of Australia, to report on the spread of climate-related mis- and disinformation. She filed stories from Germany and Fiji.
She has also filed for the international documentary program Dateline.
