Kristian Thacker

Kristian Thacker is an artist, educator, and photographer from West Virginia who grew up in the Ohio River Valley. His work follows the legacy of natural resource extraction in central Appalachia and its effects on the land and the people who live there.

Currently, his work is focused on the convergences between new developments in the Marcellus and Utica shale, regional energy transmission improvements, and hyperscale data center growth in the region.
