Pulitzer Center grantee Madeleine Baran will visit Syracuse University on March 23-24, 2026. 

On the evening of Monday, March 23, she will speak with investigative reporting students. 

On Tuesday, she will meet with students in the university’s Narrative Reporting and Media and the War on Terror courses. Baran will also have lunch with School of Communications students and meet with members of Syracuse’s student chapter of Investigative Reporters and Editors. 

That evening, she will be the featured speaker in a public conversation about podcasting and investigative reporting.

Baran is a Peabody Award–winning investigative reporter and the lead reporter and host of In the Dark, an investigative podcast from The New Yorker.
