A View From Boston: Covering Immigration in 2025

As part of Campus Compact’s Media, Migration and Identity series and in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, Wilbur Wright's Campus Compact chapter is excited to welcome Pulitzer Center grantee Simón Ríos, reporter for WBUR, Boston Public Radio. 

Ríos will share his perspective on media coverage of immigration in today’s political and social climate—how stories are told, whose voices are amplified, and why the way we consume news matters for democracy.

The event will include a Q&A session where students can engage directly with the speaker, followed by light refreshments and conversation.
