SECTIONS

An English summary of this report is below. The original report, published in French on Radio Bénin, follows.

In Benin, from the north to the south coast, thousands of men and women are restoring degraded landscapes through reforestation projects financed by the carbon market.

The goal is to capture millions of tons of carbon dioxide, restore forest ecosystems, and generate income for local communities. Carbon is becoming both an ecological and economic resource.
