Rio Tuasikal

GRANTEE, PULITZER CENTER ALUM

Rio Tuasikal is a broadcast/multimedia journalist with more than a decade of experience on the intersection of politics, climate, and tech. 

Prior to rejoining The Gecko Project, a nonprofit newsroom that investigates land use, Tuasikal worked at Voice of America, the Pulitzer Center, and the BBC World Service, among other outlets. 

Tuasikal received a master's degree from Goldsmiths, University of London, where he studied the connection between society and digital tech. He also earned a diploma in visual journalism from Ateneo de Manila University.
