Shana Joseph is an outreach and communications intern at the Pulitzer Center and a graduate of Drexel University, where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in communication. Prior to working at the Pulitzer Center, she worked at the Pennsylvania Prison Society as a communications associate. During her time there, she wrote newsletters, planned social media campaigns, planned events, and more. Joseph has immersed herself in different sectors of communications, like website management, editing, social media marketing, public relations, writing, and publishing blog pieces. She is passionate about social justice, particularly resource inequality, women's rights, and mass incarceration. Joseph is also a poet and spoken word artist. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
