Meet the Pros: Elyse Wild at Westchester Community College

Elyse Wild, senior editor for Native News Online and a Pulitzer Center grantee, will visit Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York, on March 25-26, 2025, to speak with students about journalism and her reporting.

During her two-day visit, Wild will meet with students in journalism, news reporting, documentary production, and news literacy classes to share insights from her career and offer advice to those interested in pursuing careers in journalism.

On March 26 at 11:00a.m., WIld will be the featured speaker at the “Meet the Pros” event, where she will discuss her Pulitzer Center-supported reporting project, Addiction Care in Native American Communities.

Wild is a senior editor at Native News Online. Through a solutions-focused lens, she covers the overdose epidemic in Native American communities and missing and murdered Indigenous people.

Her work has been published in The Guardian, Tribal Business News, and McClatchy, among other outlets.
