The massively complex Everglades wetlands restoration project, stretching from the Kissimmee River to Florida Bay, remains the largest in the nation's history.
In WLRN's podcast, Bright Lit Place, we take a look at the science, politics, and planning that have gone into restoration efforts over the last 30 years. Repairing wetlands drained to pave the way for modern South Florida could have given the state a head start fighting climate change. Instead, work is years away from completion.
Join award-winning WLRN environment reporter Jenny Staletovich for a discussion about how things are going and what's left to be done in Palm Beach county.
