Educators at the Summer Teacher Institute in Chicago discuss what their students need while reviewing post-it notes on the topic prompt provided by Fareed Mostoufi, Pulitzer Center senior education manager. The University of Chicago and Pulitzer Center co-organized the two-day institute. Image by Evey Wilson. United States, 2016.

Educators, please join us on Wednesday, April 15 at 4:30 pm EST for a conversation about navigating the news during the current pandemic. A member of our editorial staff will share how the Pulitzer Center and our news partners are responding to the novel coronavirus, and their insights into how to seek out truthful, well-researched, and under-reported stories. The education team will then moderate an open discussion with participants about the challenges and opportunities of using the news to support remote learning. Bring your questions and insights into the challenges and opportunities you've encountered when using news to support remote learning. We hope that we all leave this conversation with ideas, connections and inspiration that we can use to support our students and each other!
