Dr. Ian D. Wolfe, director of ethics at Children’s Minnesota; Dr. Kade Goepferd, chief education officer at Children’s Minnesota; and Dr. Meredithe McNamara, assistant professor of pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine join to discuss how to chart an empathetic path forward.

- Ian D. Wolfe, PhD, MA, RN, HEC-C, is director of ethics for the Clinical Ethics Department at Children's Minnesota; community instructor faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at University of Minnesota Medical School; and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Pediatric Ethics.
- Kade Goepferd, MD, is the chief education officer for Children’s Minnesota, the medical director of Children’s Minnesota Gender Health Program, and a pediatrician in the Children’s Minneapolis Primary Care clinic. Dr. Goepferd is a leading advocate for advancing equitable healthcare for all children, particularly transgender and gender diverse youth.
- Meredithe McNamara, MD, MS, FAAP, is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine and specializes in adolescent medicine. She is interested in implementing best practices in the care of youth facing complex trauma and high-risk social situations.
