Rosa Schwartzburg, freelancer and producer for Al Jazeera’s international current affairs show UpFront, will visit Forsyth Technical Community College to share her journalism career and latest investigation.
Schwartzburg revealed how the Army and Navy are appealing to a tech-savvy youth audience through video games like Fortnite and Call of Duty. The branches’ Esports leagues and influence campaigns reach millions—many of them minors not yet 13 years old. Schwartzburg has been published in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Nation, Jacobin magazine, Slate, Jewish Currents, and others.
