The Pulitzer Center is organising a conference-debate on the theme: ‘Deforestation and food sovereignty: What are the links and what are the solutions? The role of young people’, on 21 March in Kinshasa (DRC) to mark International Day of Forests.

Supported by reports backed by the Pulitzer Center, the discussion session offers young professionals the opportunity to engage with journalists, researchers, and entrepreneurs to highlight the links between forest conservation and food, particularly in urban environments.

The topics to be addressed will revolve around green innovation and entrepreneurship, awareness-raising and education, as well as the participation of young professionals in driving change for better governance and access to opportunities in the areas of forest preservation and food security.
