Nzigire Chibalonza, 60, was raped by three men in November 2012 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They were so brutal, she says, 'I thought I would die.' Image by Fiona Lloyd-Davies. DRC, 2013.

Presented by Studio 9 Films Ltd, "Seeds of Hope" screens at the Frontline Club in London on Monday, July 14. This is the second screening of "Seeds" at the Frontline Club and the third screening in London in less than two months. "Seeds of Hope" inspired high praise during the Summit Fringe public events associated with the June 2014 Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict in London.

Filmmaker Fiona Lloyd-Davies, founder of Studio 9 Films and a Pulitzer Center grantee, will join the Q&A session after the Frontline Club screening.

Lloyd-Davies has been documenting sexual violence in the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo for over a decade. This film tells the story of Masika Katsuva, a rape survivor who is working with other survivors to take charge of their lives again. The stories are told in the voices of the women themselves. It also examines the November 2012 rampage by Congolese soldiers in Minova and the surrounding area that led to mass rapes and brutality.

The film stems from her Pulitzer Center-supported reporting project, "Congo: Consequences of a Conflict with No End."
