At the event "Climate News That Moves the World," which will be held on September 23, 2024, at New York's Explorers Club, speakers will discuss groundbreaking approaches and inspiring strategies for environmental journalism.
How do journalists tell climate stories to make an impact and inspire change in our economies and the way we relate to and protect nature? How do we help journalists do their jobs in this often life-threatening endeavor?
Participants:
Jessica Aldred, Ocean editor, Pulitzer Center: Aldred has more than 20 years’ experience working in major newsrooms in the United Kingdom and Australia. Before coming to the Pulitzer Center, she spent 10 years as a deputy environment editor at The Guardian, London.
Caitlin Saks, senior producer, NOVA (PBS): Saks also produces and co-hosts the digital series Polar Extremes: Antarctica.
David Sassoon, founder and publisher, Inside Climate News: Sassoon has been a writer, editor, and publisher for 30 years, involved with public interest issues such as human rights, cultural preservation, health care, education, and the environment.
