Journalist Peter Tinti will be at Apexart in New York on Saturday, October 14, 2017, to talk about his book, Migrant, Refugee, Smuggler, Saviour, written in collaboration with Tuesday Reitano. Tinti also shares his most recent reporting on the European migration crisis, supported by the Pulitzer Center and published in Foreign Policy as part of a multi-part series in October 2017.

As part of the event, Tinti will speak with Katherine Rochester, an art historian and curator, as a part of her Fellow Travelers exhibition that "initiates an encounter between people displaced by the deterioration of neo-liberal policies around the world," according to the exhibition essay.

Tinti is a freelance journalist whose reporting focuses on security, human rights, conflict, and organized crime. Aside from his work with Foreign Policy, Tinti's writing and photography has been published by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Politico, Al Jazeera and Vice, among others.

Event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and registration requested.
