Journalist and evolutionary biologist Amy Maxmen will visit McGill University in Quebec, Canada, to discuss her Pulitzer Center-supported project Vaccine Inequities, which investigates wealthy countries’ monopoly on vaccine doses and possible redistributive solutions. Her ongoing Pulitzer Center-supported project, Invisible Crises, is about outbreaks of preventable diseases in the conflict-riven Central African Republic.
Maxmen will teach a seminar class for Madhu Pai, professor of epidemiology and global health at McGill, about conducting media interviews, confronting misinformation, and navigating scientific uncertainty. She will also meet with students.
